The company commits further in its drive to “training excellence”.

Richard Adler, Chief Commercial Officer of Atlantic, attended a meeting with the students of the 39th edition of the Master’s Degree in Business and Maritime Law, developed by the IME in collaboration with the Universidad Pontificia Comillas of Madrid, on 20 April. The aim of this talk was, among others, to spread the seeds of effort and self-improvement, informing the students of the “Atlantic Award for the Best Academic Achievement”, which will be presented, in its first edition, next July in Madrid.

One of the points of the Collaboration Agreement recently signed by the IME and Atlantic is to bring future professionals in the sector closer to each other and to make a firm commitment to training and academic excellence. For this reason, Richard Adler did not want to miss the opportunity to show the students of the IME’s renowned Master, first hand, the professional opportunities that shipping and marine insurance offers (among other the uniqueness of the P&I Clubs and the London insurance market).

On the other hand, Richard shared with the students that in this Master’s programme, hard work has its rewards and announced for the first time the creation of the “Atlantic Award for the Best Academic Achievment”, which consists of a week’s work at Atlantic’s London office (including travel and lodging) where the winning student will be able to see first-hand the different taks of a marine insurance broker and a risk advisor.

This award will be presented at the Closing Ceremony of the Master, which will take place in Madrid at the beginning of July, in what has already become a meeting point between students and leading professionals in our sector, who actively collaborate in the training of future professionals in the maritime sector.
