As a result of the collaboration agreement signed last April between Atlantic and the Spanish Maritime Institute, the delivery of the Atlantic Award was held at the Museo del Traje in Madrid, which fosters academic excellence and promotes specialization in the sector. Franco Risi received the award, which consists of a trip to London, spending a week in the Atlantic office from where he will collaborate as a broker in the Lloyd’s market.

As part of the closing ceremony of the 39th promotion of the Master’s Degree in Business and Maritime Law, yesterday the first edition of the Atlantic Award was presented, which encourages academic excellence by awarding the award for the best academic record. Manuel Ferrández, CEO of Atlantic, was in charge of presenting the prize, which went to the student Franco Risi, who obtained the highest final grade in this promotion.

Manuel Ferrández presented the award and dedicated a few words to the trajectory of the IME. The CEO of Atlantic recalled his passage, as a student, through the Master’s Degree in Business and Maritime Law, as did other guests present, who today are prominent professionals and professors of this master’s degree. Ferrández congratulated the students who graduated in this ceremony and who joined the sector, indicating that “a very interesting path” was beginning for them.

Atlantic, through the agreement with the IME, recognizes the importance of investing in the next generation of professionals in the maritime sector, attracting talent and collaborating in the dissemination of the potential of the Blue Economy, with a special approach to the young public to achieve the much-needed generational change in the sector.
